Athletic Programs

The foundation for ITS is our year-round co-ed athletic programs. Our core sports are basketball, flag football, softball, and soccer. We also have our All-Star Travel Basketball Teams, DreamCatchers Cheer, and our new sports program Cross Country.

Each sport, except cheer and travel basketball, is separated into divisions: A-league (18u), B-League (14u), C-League (11u) and our D-League (7u). Our A, B, & C-League are all competitive, while our d-league is a developmental league with the sole purpose of introducing youth to sports. Therefore, scores and game results are not tracked. Our cheer program is comprised of one team and our travel basketball is determined by our tryouts.

Games are hosted by participating tribes and organization. Each season begins with a sports  camp, opening day, regular season games and ends with a championship’s celebration.

To participate in our athletic programs, each participating tribe or organization must register their own team, conduct their own practices and travel to game sites.

Online Coaches Certification

Before every season, ITS coaches and team managers are required to complete our online coaches certification. The online certification was designed to help with alleviate traveling but also to help coaches learn their appropriate material to ensure a smooth and enjoyable season. This includes going over game rules, important information and dates, policies, coaches code of conduct and questions to review the material.

Along with the coaches certification, ITS has create a Coaches Corner tab under Team Central, were all the material along with additional content is provided to help coaches. This includes but not limited to  “Rez Dogg Refreshments” nutrition education, specific run conditioning exercises that are sport specific and forms that are required.

Players Camp

Before every season ITS offers a Players Camp. These camps are designed for players to learn and get ready for the up coming season. All the youth are gathered together to hear cultural and leadership words from tribal elders, motivating words from high performing athletes, sport nutrition education, injury prevention, and complete sport specific warm ups and drills for skills.
